I have an Orvis Battenkill reel i would like to put on it . Which one? Clear water 2 model would be fine. I have no problem trying a Helio if someone has one for sale.

RRizz,

If you look down a few threads, I have an Orvis Trident TLS, 2 piece, 5 wt, but 8 1/2 feet instead of 9. Mid-flex 6.5.

But frankly, I still don't get why it's gotta be Orvis. A Battenkill reel can go on any rod....

I've got a friend looking at it this weekend, and if he wants it, it's his. But that ones a 50/50 shot, and if it falls through, make me an offer.

Sh*t no wonder why I don't catch fish when my battenkill is on my non-orvis 5 weights... in all seriousness if your going to the jam talk to people while your there try out a few different rods.

My thoughts on the clearwater rod is that your paying a little more for a little less rod but I will admit some dealers go way above and beyond to help you out when its needed. To each their own, good luck on your search
