Looking for a 12 foot boat, something that can take my fat a$$ and a friends out for a day's fishing.

Considering what I've spent this year on fly-fishing gear, I'd like to keep the price under $500.

Looking in the Papershop (local classified sales paper) and see some possibilities, but hoping this will help me extend my search.

I have an old Sears aluminium boat. It floats, heck I made it down the Lehigh in it. LOL It does not have a title or whatever it is called. You would have to go through the state to have it registered. Pm me if interested.

I wish I knew this 2 months ago I just sold my two 12 footers I used for trapping since I don't have time for trapping anymore. The best place to pick up a cheap boat is Craigslist.

SBecker,

I was going to PM, but this may help clarify my request for others.

Want something registered/titled. 99.9% of the water I will fish the boat on will be PA Fish Commission and they require the registration.

Thanks anyway!

Dave

O you can have it registered. I just never have. You might have to send a picture to the state, but you can get it registered. They just need to make sure it is in ok shape. No problem though. If you don't find anything and reconsider I am asking 200 for it.

you don't need a title for boats pre-'96 (???)

go to to the PFBC site and check

but title is not needed for registration

Yea you are correct, kinda what I was trying to explain. Might just have to show a picture of the boat.

I talked to a guy at the pizza shop in Dauphin on Saturday. He's got a 14' single wide john boat, 7.5 hp Merc, trailer w/ new lights. He was asking $600. Though that was a pretty sweet deal.
