I purchased this rod recently, but have been gifted another 9wt that is comparably beautiful. I have never fished the salt, and do not feel the need to have 2-9wts, This Scott is brand new never used. Up to a couple months ago, these rods were going for $350, but because of being discontinued are in the $260 range.

I am looking for a trade. Particularly a 9ft, 5wt. Sage, Winston, Scott, Orvis Hydros, Legend Ultra. I dunno, something in that line of thinking.

I am looking for a Pike rod to fish the allegheny with, Because this rod is brand new, does it have any kind of warranty? How about a sale price?

I currently have the same problem with 7 wts. I have 2 of em and only need one. Would like a 9 wt as I probably have some future in the salt, it just hasn't been immediate enough to make me act.

The one I'd part with is a 9 ft 7 wt Sage Fli. Any interest?

:) Some truth to that. I'm pretty happy with my base equipment, and beyond replacing things that need replacing, I shouldn't go out and buy stuff just to buy it. She knows it and I know it.

But I'm not opposed to TRADING stuff. Especially when its stuff I don't use for stuff that I might use...

Uhhm, I believe I never sent the warranty card in so it should be good. However, do not quote me on that and i do not want to get into an argument if it is or not. So, take that for what it's worth. sale price would be $250, but I do not even know if I want to just sell it.

Pcray, I have to think about that, because I already have a 7wt. It is not great, but it is serviceable. I really want a 5wt.

Important - The Scott Lifetime Warranty applies only to the original owner and must be registered within 30 days of purchase.  Unregistered or resold rods are not covered by this warranty.

Becker,

The offer on the 7 wt stands, I'd make it work somehow. Would have to look at comparable values, I think I spent a little less than that on the Fli (on clearance at Cabelas), and it's lightly used rather than never used. So if I had to add a few bucks to the deal to make it even I would.

But I don't have a 5 wt I'm willing to part with. Nor am I willing to pay the full value in cash. So it's 7wt plus cash to even it out or nothin. Let me know...

$250 for a discontinued rod without a warranty. I know u say it is new but what shebop pointed out makes the rod warranty invalid. Also i checked ebay and these rods are going for around 150-175 with a warranty. I woyld have been interested for around 125 based on the non warranty but 250 is gouging a paff member!

Unless they are coming from an authorized scott dealer, the ebay rods do not have a warranty.

For the warranty to be valid, you must purchase the rod new from an authorized scott dealer. You must submit the warranty registration within 30 days.

If they are official scott dealers, then disregard.

Looking on ebay I can not find a 9' 9wt A3... maybe I just can't locate the right deals on gear. From what I do see 250 is a fair price on a new rod but I am unfamiliar with scott's registering process for the warranty... let me know if you do find one for under $200 new because that would be a steal!

Uhhm...Show me the Ebay. I looked and everything is going for $270. If you are going to make up lies, at least be a little sensible. Also, I do not want the cash. I want another rod. Gouging a PAFF member LMAO give me a break. Go bother someone else, I am not in the mood to argue

$125 for a Scott A3...funny schnit

Gary nothing is showing for those links. well it shows but it just says it ended. Does not say what it is ending for. Also, I did not see a 9wt listed there. Everything that is below 200 is just being bid on, and will almost certainly go for over $200. The couple that are under $200 are also being sold by un-authorized dealers. At least from what I can tell. Hey have fun bidding on Ebay with someone you have no idea who they are. Least many people on here have met me.

Meh F it, I am not looking to trade or sell this anymore. I do not want to gouge my PAFF friends.
