I've recently been retained as council for Orvis. Mr. Alpa, you are walking a dangerously thin line that borders on slander. Orvis makes fine products and I know a guy that broke a T3. They replaced it with a Helios. That's good service. I have never owned any of their products because I don't like Vermont. Good day sir. Also, Orvis can send free samples to me. I'd be willing to try the stuff.

Never been there and can't even spell it. I was just looking for free gear. I'm full of crap in general. (no need to pile on Jack)

Dude, look in the incoming mail and say, "look, here's a box from Abel." I won't yell at you if you say its not there.

Well, I might, but no more than usual.

I'm pro-Vermont. I like that stoic old Yankee thing they got going on, I do not like the Johnny-Come-Latelies, or is that Johnnies-Come-Lately, who are seeking it out because they're filthy patchoulli wearing hippies and they think its this terriffically progressive state that wants their flowery hippie bull flooding it and trying to be one with nature.

Which, FWIW, could segue into a wonderful story I know about a couple of girls who moved there to "live off the grid" and do it naturally, and ended falling apart because they tried to live in a tent and raise honey from bees.

Also, I have the feeling that JayL (jayL) at some point has worn patchoulli stink in an attempt to hook up with hippy chicks. While the reason may be noble, sir, the wearing of that dirt-scent is never acceptable. NEVER. Just lie, and say you never had so I can look you in the eye next time we meet.

gfen - let me clarify (and hopefully Jayl fits this category)

If you are putting patchouli ON to impress crunchy hippie girls, you are doing it wrong.

I went to college in Ithaca NY - crunchy neo-hippie chick central. I must admit, in my younger years, I have had the patchouli stink on me....BUT ONLY BECAUSE I ROLLED AROUND WITH CHICKS WHO WORE IT.

**THAT*** my friend, is the ONLY acceptable way for a man to smell like patchouli....

LOL. You're way off base on that one. Not many hippy girls at my college. Hipsters, on the other hand, were everywhere.

I think trowpa clarified it nicely.

In this context, wouldn't that require you to convince people that I'm not annoying?

Besides, I smeared you before I even read this!
