Montague 8 1/2 foot bamboo fly rod. 3 piece. 2 tip sections. Probably for 5-6 weight line. Missing 2 guides. One tip section is missing the male ferrule and is also about 1 1/2 inches shorter than the other tip section.

The label says Montague, then the first part of the model name is illegible, but you can see .....PING BROOK. So the model is probably LEAPING BROOK.

Comes in an old metal tube and cloth sack. If you're handy, you can have an old timey bamboo fly rod for.........$35.

I live in Bellefonte, so if you are interested in buying it, and get in the area, let me know and I'll show it to you.

That is not the most expensive Montague from the 40’s but not the cheapest. Why not fix it up for yourself? Sounds like you could have a good 3/1 and just save the short tip for little or no money if the other ferrules are okay.
