Plum coloured blank? If so, this might be one of the finest dry fly rods you've never heard of.

Its a sweet rod. I've got the 8' 4wt, and try as I might, I've not found a better rod.

I have the exact same 3wt. I generally don't like 3wts, but I love that rod.

my father has the 8'6" 5wt plum versitex - i do like it...i would imagine the 3wt is even sweeter though! Very nice for a relaxed stroke.

If i didn't just buy a a rod and a reel i'd consider this.

I can't figure out how to edit my post again. The Versitex and the J.Ryall are no longer for sale. With all of the newfound info, I've decided to keep them.

Agreed, and I've tried a LOT harder than you.

I've got the IGF804G (green blank), and it's a better casting rod than my Winston TMF. The older green blanks were a tad faster than the plum ones.

Sales pending on the St. Croix rod and Velocity reel.

Will take $135 + shipping on the TFO, $225 + shipping on the Sage, and $100 + shipping on the Battenkill.

Sorry Orvisnut, that's a little bit of a lowball offer.

They are made by Pacbay. It's an IM6 blank.

Update, the TFO rod and the Orvis reel are both still available, everything else is accounted for. Make me an offer. Bump

You should sell that TMF.
