Built by Fred Paddock, originally from PA but living in VA now. Rod is a 3/1 configuration and a beautiful blond color with blued hardware and red wraps. As stated it was built by Fred Paddock who only builds glass rods now. He made 5 bamboo rods worth between $1200 and $1400, I have number 1. This rod will only go up in price and would make a nice family hierloom. I am selling the rod with sock and hand made tube, made to look like a culm of bamboo, Phlueger 1494 reel with a brand new Pheonix hand woven silk line and mucilin. All this for only $1050 plus actual shipping to your zipcode. e-mail me at martin9428@aol.com for pictures

Thank you for looking

I forgot to post what trade I would be interested in. I am looking for a kayak such as a tarpon 120 that I can use for fishing. So a good kayak stable enough to fish from. Plus some cash unless you have it set up with rod holder, fish finder and anchor system. No other trades accepted.

Didnt you get this rod for free as some sort of donation?

Yes, I did. That means nothing as the cost of the rod to buy it is the same. I am only selling it for $900 plus the cost of the new silk line because of financial difficulties and was trying to sell quickly. If I were to replace with the same quality rod the cost would be between $1200-$1400, hence the price.

thats true
but something sounds a bit off... taking a donation to only turn around and sell it for $900

i know there are personal reasons (which is odd because you are willing to trade for a kayak)... but i'm sure the donators might have thought differently if they knew you were going to just turn around and sell it

if you have no use for it.... why not extend the same gift to someone deserving?

That's true and I really would rather hold on to it and if we can pull through this financial downfall I am going to keep it. It was a great gift from a great organization and if I have no real use for it, I would pass it along. I do have however a rod that was given to me by, believe it or not a Swann delivery guy. The thing was all delaminated and in really bad shape. I am having it completely refurbished at no cost and during another event I go on, will in fact be giving that one away.
