Seems perfectly cromulent to me.

Anyways, I'm just going to assume that the "real" Hatches Magazine (www.hatchesmagazine.com/) finally dispatched a Cease and Desist letter to the johnnies come lately at Hatch Mag (www.hatchmag.com) for basically trying to hijack their Intellectual Property (ie, Hatches Magagazine).

Can I suggest Wikipedia to embiggen your knowledge of IP law if required? Over 9000 articles are translated to Swahili if required! http://sw.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mwanzo

Truth is I lied to Afish.. that's not Swahili, its Kiswahili, and my knowledge of African languages is about as strong as my ability to write petery in Tagalog, which is to say non-existant.

I could be completely wrong, but I'm going to assume there's a fundamental root language betweek Swahili and Kiswahili. Perhaps I need Wikipedia myself.

UPDATE:
"The Swahili language or Kiswahili[3] is a Bantu language spoken by various ethnic groups that inhabit several large stretches of the Mozambique Channel coastline from northern Kenya to northern Mozambique, including the Comoros Islands.[4] It is also spoken by ethnic minority groups in Somalia. Although only five million[inconsistent] people speak Swahili as their mother tongue,[5] it is used as a lingua franca in much of East Africa, meaning the total number of speakers exceeds 60 million.[6] Swahili serves as a national, or official language, of five nations: Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, the Comoros and the Democratic Republic of the Congo."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swahili_language

Good thing Afish didn't say Pig Latin.

Grossly offtopic, but many States have "official" languages:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_official_languages_by_state

One of America's most noble acts is that we've never declared one, its one of the positive things about America that I would think those who are staunchly conservative and profess to uphold everything this Nation stands for would embrace, an open willingness to take you in and give you a home.

-shrug-

Anyways, I'm now off topic for (lovingly) flippant responses to Afish, so we're gonna have to steer this ship back in the right direction or I'm afraid I cannot continue to add to it.

So if they named it say, othatchmag.com, would that skirt intellectual property rights?
