I've read the book years ago and see they've made it into a movie. Has anyone else read the book or seen the movie ?

Amber Heard. That's why you should see the movie.

Both. The book is wonderful; the movie is not, excpet for the scenery and the girl.

I never read the book, but the movie was absolutely terrible.

It looks like I'm in the minority on this.

I didn't like the book.

That's a relief. I thought for a second you were gonna say you enjoyed the movie!

I loved the book. I have read it two times over the last several years. That is the only book I can say that about, besides "Trout Streams of PA" of course . . .

The movie was ok. It followed the story line, just not all of the philosophical detail of the book. It is worth checking out. It is available on Netflix for streaming.
