Recently got the book from the library.

It has been reading like an interesting history lesson rather than an informative read for me. Guess I have heard most of the tactics/flies before. Good old Silver Doc. Short book to read- good to read in short spurts.

I flyfish because I enjoy it.

You're right; it's an interesting history about fishing at night on one pool, the Goodsell Pool that no longer exists. But, it really is an interesting book, and as one who has dabbled with night fishing, it's hard to imagine such large numbers of trophy trout congregating at one place, even if it was a great pool of cold water when the big Allegheny got warm. I haven't re-read it for a while, but I guess I should soon. I remember it as fun reading.
