With the onset of winter, have made my first book requests from the libaray.

Put a request in for these three- anyone read them? If so, what did you think of them?

McClane's angling world : Al McClane's greatest adventures game fishing across America

Death of a riverkeeper / Ernest Schwiebert

Confessions of a fly fishing addict / Nick Lyons.

Have the confessions...if you want to borrow it.

Thanks, but probably just easier to pickup at my local library.

Did you enjoy the book?

Just kinda picked these out without knowing much about them.

The Carnegie library system has over 300 titles of fly fishing books. If you have never ordered a book to be delivered to your local library for free- you might be missing out.

1. Confessions -- I think it's a compilation of some of Lyons' other stuff, though I haven't read this book. If I'm right, it'll be worth your time.
2. McClane -- I have the book and read it a long time ago. It isn't Traver, but it is a good read.
3. Death of a Riverkeeper is a good book. Even though I am still disappointed that the late ES sold out to the empire, this is a fine book of fishing stories. These would be nice to read on a cold winter's night by a woodburner.
I think you would enjoy all three books.

I think "Confessions" is a compilation of the short stories Nick Lyons wrote for the magazine "FlyFisherman" it was some of the best reading ever.
