Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. looking at 3-5 predicted in Philly.

a few people called in this morning. (They should have dialed 1-800-cry-baby) ..I still made it even with my Achillies Tendons healing process ongoing.

I like snow, hate the up and down temps and freezing rain... Walking out to my car Monday morning... thin layer of ice with a dusting of crunchy snow on top - Slip... falling... snag some traction with the foot, twisting... foot is now planted... and fall... end result is a nasty high ankle sprain and a broken fibula....

I've heard some very interesting things about Pohopoco, may make the trip from Jersey to hit it in the spring. Then again, said the same thing last spring. I hate when life gets in the way of life.

Either it was my NJ tags or the fact I am friends with SBecker. Can go their way!

Hmmm did not think about that angle. Probably makes a lot more sense.

It's been snowing here since November 9th. I actually moved away from PA. because the winters had become so warm and unpredictable. I like snow. Sometimes it can be too much but this year is just a bunch of 4 - 8" events rather than the 8 feet or so we got piled with three seasons back.

Too much makes for a long runoff season resulting in high waters that last into July or longer. Back when it snowed a lot in PA. the fishing was better I think.

Ard, I imagine your right, good snowpack can only help the aquifers, especially if it melts slowing and sinks in, rather than run off in a torent. Those of us on wells appreciate a good snowpack also.

During the winter having fresh snow also helps to keep the river trails that I use to reach our cabin soft. When we have little in the way of snowfall the trail can get hard as a rock. For perspective, this is a 75 mile one way ride sometimes pulling a large freight sled out there. Snow is good in moderation I guess.

Almost January already! It won't be long fellows :)

I hate snow. I'm only here for the native brook trout.
