Took a guy out Friday that has never fished for wild trout. Great day. Thought you would enjoy some fish porn. He kicked his career off with a fat 14" wild brown on a 2wt. That's a pretty nice way to get started.

Looking forward to the Jam this weekend. I do have a tent site if anyone does not have a place to pitch a tent. I use a camping hammock, so I don't take up much space.

And last but not least, I'm hoping someone out there is game for midnight browns on Penns this weekend :-D

What a spectacular brown! And on a 2 wt. Nice work and good job getting someone new into the wild game. Wild browns and bows - looks like a gem of a stream you have there.

I did not even know that stream had browns in it. Worst part is, 2 pools before that I was stripping in a wooly bugger and a 20" brown shot out from under the boulder I was standing on and took the bugger. He shot across the pool and my jaw hit the boulder. I though I had a good hook set, but he jumped and threw the hook right back at me. I would have never expected such a large brown in that creek. Now I know.

If it's the stream I think it is, I have a friend who caught a big brown under a boulder like you describe, and I caught one slightly smaller than yours just upstream in a pool that looks like the background of that pic. Perhaps they are the same fish.

There's brookies there too!

And my jaw quite literally hit a boulder just downstream, broken tooth and all to show for it! Lost camera too, including the pic of the 20 incher, of course.

I'm sure it is that stream Pat. I'm sure the browns come from the stream it dumps into. I never made it up high enough to get to the brookies last week. I may hit it on the way home from the jam on Sunday and just start higher up.

I want to fish the next creek to it as well. Thinking about going over sometime and just camping out over there so I have time to cover them well.

thats awesome! i really would like to get a wild rainbow one day.....very pretty fish!
