I would like to attend if the 9th stands as the date. I got my first set up at that shop but never fished that creek. I would be willing to help out but being a rookie I am not sure there is much I can do.

I'll try to bring a participant. A friend of mine has a boy about 13 who really wants to get into fly fishing. This could be a great entrance for him.

For casting; I'll bring some of my gear. I don't know that we have any idea how many will be attending, but I might need some equipment.

Good luck with the get together- I am sure it will be helpful for newer folks.

I will be at the Lil J clean-up day that day. Perhaps the most useful thing will be just being on stream with someone more experienced to offer tips and reassurance. Good luck.

ryan, I can give a little talk about equipment if no one else wants to.
I can also bring some spare rods, in case there are some folks that don't have a set-up yet.
did you talk to bob yet? I have an easy-up awning I could bring and set it up, give us a place to take a break out of the rain(it never rains in the spring!), but I don't know what the rules are for the area around bob's shop, if he owns that or if it belongs to the town.
farmerdave, you should try to make it, I'll need help with the all-important after-fishing barley therapy session!
also, any plans for lunch? everyone bring their own?

Sounds good Alan. I was going to give Bob a call after the preseason stocking was over. I'm sure he's swamped with trying to get that organized and doesn't want to be bothered with anything else. I'd appreciate it if you could talk about gear. Someone like you can give a different opinion on things, but also be very relevant. Thanks for the help.

pheasanttail85, you're more than welcome to come. That's what it's being organized for is newbies like you.
