ill be hittin dem cricks this weekend not sure where I'm going exactly though. snow on the ground up by behrend and along the higher elevations! crappy weather should lead to some good fishin...

ernie they're up pretty high on all the creeks except walnut from what i've heard/read. i know all the east side creeks have 'em up as high as they go except 20 mile. i haven't been west yet though.

We (my father and I) will be heading up to 20 mile on Monday. If its too high to fish we'll head west down the lake and find some water that is. First trip of the season for me, and first chance to try out some tube flies!

Anyone headed up this weekend... looks REALLY low. A little bit of rain in the forecast.

1 more week till the JAM. I'm pretty pumped.

I had it planned, but as you know, heading to the salmon instead. Not enough water to make the drive worth it.

I'm gonna head up. Less than ideal conditions, but I get shoulder surgery on Monday so this is my last hurrah for a while.

Here's another post I'll refresh about general steelhead fishing. It's gonna be that time before we know it!

Who's ready?

I'm hoping I have enough vacation to squeeze out a deer season/steelhead trip, but its tight.

With no buck, Mon.-Wed. are hunting days and Thurs.-Sat. are fishing days. Of course, if I get a buck Monday or Tuesday, the whole week becomes a fishing week.

Ditto on that. I will have a few guys down to my farm on Mon and Tues and then (whether I get a buck or not), I'll be on the stream the rest of the week.

I have seen steelheaders bring lawn chairs to the stream, but never a sofa. I will look for you and your crown next time I'm in Erie.

That has inspired a great idea Jack! A kayak that is really a sofa. It would be awsome to lay back with my feet up...the remote in one hand and my fly rod in the other. No crown though...unless we stopped at Burger King on the way.

Speaking of which...see my official picture for the hospital in front of my new office below (I think this may be why I'm in trouble all of the time...but hey they elected me):

Yes the good ole days are long gone and never to return! Well thats why I have not returned to fish PA for pelletheads in 8 years "it was an ice place to hone my skills "spoiled, I used to live 1.45 hours away"! The Catt will be pumping clay silt for years! I fish her hard and shes got plenty of silt to go around brother! I used to have permission from the Farm owner at Beckman Road and we see how that turned out!
