Southeast holdovers and wild trout

This will be my third season fishing this region and I've made pretty decent rounds over the years, finding which streams interest me and not. I live in Philly and have become partial to Valley Creek for its wild browns, but I'd like to fish more rivers like this, opposed to streams that only support stocked fish. I don't want to come off as a snob or anything, but I think fishing for wilds and holdovers make me work harder, hence learn more.

Can you guys recommend anything closer than the Breeches or the Tulpohocken? I'd love to fish for wild brookies, too, but I understand if those in the know aren't willing to divulge such information to just anyone.

Thanks.

Neither the Tully or Breeches are considered "Wild" fisheries. But as you follow the Schuylkill River north from Valley Creek, nearly all of the creeks that flow into the river have wild trout populations.
Check some out and if you have questions about any of the streams, send me a PM and I'll answer any questions you have.

Thanks a lot, Chaz. I'll definitely be investigating!

Chaz,

Is Valley Creek a town? If not, what town is nearby?

Thanks.
Leo
