Nice pictures OL-Friendly hint on the river shot.
Take a tip from Sal and Jake and don't have your disappearing point[vanishing point] in the middle of the picture.

No secret spots here, considering that I have seen many other anglers fishing all of these streams and locations… but we’ll keep things kind of generalized just in case.

NOTE: All these images were reduced from much larger format so some “graininess” was unavoidable…

First off; Easton’s limestone legend, Bushkill Creek, Northampton Co. in early summer foliage (June, 2008)
Resized Image

A nice little freestone stream south of Bangor, PA known as Martins Creek, Northampton Co. (May 2007)
Resized Image

My buddy high-sticking a nice little “money hole” on Pocono Creek, Monroe Co. just as the sun hits the tree tops (June 2009)
Resized Image

An lastly; a sobering shot of Brodhead Creek, Monroe Co. for a number of reasons… 1) really shows the devastating “straight shot” channelization between Stroudsburg and Analomink, and 2) incredibly low flows during a 2007 drought. Usually this area flows well bank-to-bank (June 2007)

I especially like that last picture of Brodhead Creek, along with it being nice light and a good shot, it tells a story!

Oh yes to answer your question Brownout. I had to go through my research for my book to find this. I knew i had it.

That small stream in Lancaster that looks like its cutting through bedrock, another streams shares its geology close by and heres what i have on it:

The stream has a much more delectable geology than the wild trout streams in Northern Lancaster County. It appears to flow through Wissahickon schist rock outcrops and sometimes limestone. These rocks outcroppings sometimes flank either side of the stream. These rocks most likely date back 440 - 500 million years ago. Formed from muddy sediment on the ocean floor. When the ocean receded, they hardened into shale.Later the shale metamorphosed into shist and moved north over bedrock.

In 1750 that area was used for making charcoal. Limestone and Bog Iron Ore was very abundant in Southern Lancaster County. Cutting the surrounding forest for the furnace smelting iron left a barren landscape.Later after the Furnace went out of business metal manufactured goods were still being made. That ceased in 1872 and the land was sold to the Paragon Nut and Fruit Corporation. They planted apple and chestnut trees for business. In 1954 a Lancaster County attorney purchased the land from the fruit company and allowed the forest to grow completely. In 1980 a developer was extremely interested in buying it to convert it into a golf course.
Citizens banded together with legal deliberation and enviromentalists support. The land was purchased in 1993 and is now
a 360 acre park for all the public to enjoy.

Sometimes we can save a little piece of heaven.

I got this Trout in that Park

Your book? Haha. Guess someone thought Charile Meck and his lifestyle needed a little competition. Interesting write up there, thanks for the reply.

Hope posting a link to this slide show isn't out of line, but I thought I'd share it with you guys. If the moderators find it out of line to show pictures of an event connected with another forum, please delete this post.

slide show

I didn't take all these photos - the people that take pictures at this event email theirs to me and I add them to the slide show. This was from the week after Memorial Day this year.

Heritage, if slideshows are out of line then my post is also out of line. Nice pictures btw!

Here is a link direct to my streams album rather than slide show:
