There's a walmart close enough, I'll be like the truckers and sleep in the lot if the 7 mountains guys give me the boot.

gfen, inspiration is waiting for you at Seven Mountains. Besides, sitting around a campfire in the rain talking fishing is still better than sitting in a house wishing the rain would stop so you can go fishing...plus the activity on the board really slows down during the Jam. You'll get lonely sitting in front of the computer waiting for everyone to get back on Monday
Looking forward to meeting you this weekend.

Fat man, furry hat. We've met, tocar.

No doubt, its pretty much about the only thing that's dragging me out, that and not having two kids wake me up at 6am.

It comes down to how annoyed I am at the universe, 8am Friday morning. If its more than 40%, I stay home. Over 40%, I drive the threee hours and take it out on the lot of you.

Maybe I should tie a fly or something?

A pretty handy resource for one stop flow chart shopping. Includes some NY rivers but also has everything we'd be looking for in Central PA.

I thought it would be worse- as far as flows but most streams are holding up and without too much more rain most streams will fish. Except for maybe Penns or the J.

It seems like they haven't been getting a ton of rain around here. Just maybe an half inch or so sporadically. Plus everything is in bloom so it can suck it up much better. I think if we have a 36-48 hour period with under a half inch of rain, things will return to as close to normal as possible.

I got this from the CG manager who has been arranging our gathering with me:

Good Morning Jack!

I just wanted to let you know that due to the excessive rain, we have had to move all the tent site reservations onto RV sites. For those wishing to, they may still pitch their tents on the grassy tent area, but we will assign them each their own RV site at no extra charge so they will have a drier spot to pitch their tents. Please make everyone aware on the board. Thanks so much and we look forward to your visit!

Also, this place got back to me:

Kearns Campgrounds
137 Kearns Rd, Spring Mills, PA 16875-8904

They have tent sites available and he claimed they were on high-ground. They are right next door, walk to pavilion close.

I think there are a few folks arriving today. I will be off to visit those beloved and memorable streams sometime tomorrow.

Beginning the packing process now. I look forward to seeing everyone and also to some great fishing, Lord of the Flow and Hatch willing.

its like this...I'd love to do some fishing this weekend. But...

Just bring lots of food and beverages. Looking at the guest list, there is a wealth of knowledge among this crowd. Every year I learn something new from someone...sometimes it even involves fishing. Should be one hell of a party!

Well I am all packed up. Heading out Thursday morning. Seems like I will be be taking my time getting up to the campground.

Gonna be bringing some cards just in case: spades, pinocle, poker anyone?

I am looking forward to seeing those that will be making it up. I think everyone across the region is in the same boat.

Safe journeys all!
