Hello all, I just wanted to introduce myself. I just moved back to PA from New Hampshire. I have not fly fished in years and looking to get back into it. Look forward to learning and one day soon contributing on here.

Thanks!

Welcome. There are a good number of Lancastrians on the board. We aren't exactly a trout mecca here in Lancaster County but there is a fairly good population of wild fish dispersed around the streams and the typical stocked fish as well. Centuries of agricultural has served to feed many but left the waters here impaired.

Welcome to PAFF, TimberFish. There is a pretty good group of forum members from the Lancaster area. There is always lots to learn about flyfishing. This is a great place to help the learning curve. Good group of folks with a ton of experience. Have fun with it!

Welcome. We also have warm water fly fishing opportunities in Lancaster County, the legendary Cumberland valley limestone dreams aren't too far away, Centre County streams are close enough for day trips. All in all, it's not too bad around here.

Go to Octararo Creek, the meadow stretch. It's stocked but absolutely beautiful, and the different types of water you'll encounter in that half mile stretch or so are a lot of fun.

Welcome.

In the summer of 2012, I spent some time in Hanover, NH at a college. Thought that NH would be a trout fishing mecca, but found it sorely lacking, at least in the spots that I poked around.

Think you will like the fly fishing in central PA, once you get the lay of the land.

Welcome to Lancaster county. I moved back here from NH 37/38 years ago. Great place to grow up as an adolescent in the 70s. Where abouts in NH did you call home?

East Wakefield/Sanbornville. Lake Ivanhoe/Great East Lake. Right on the Maine-NH boarder.
