If these people are really concerned they would be glad the hatchery is shutting down. There is a one meal a month fish consumption on that hatchery . Sounds like to me a thank you for shutting down is what should be considered.

Only thing you are trolling is yourself. You really believe in that petition. If you did not, you would not have posted it and asked for us not to have negative comments in regards to the hatchery closing. I abided by your request and found the petition to be weak.

I fish more than about anyone in the state of Pennsylvania and enjoy fishing our stocked streams for trout in the beginning of the season. I'm an avid fly fisherman. You barely see young kids out on the water anymore and if the state keeps stocking less and less fish, you will see less and less kids being involved. There has already been a drastic drop in license over the past 10 years. Go ahead, close these 2 hatcheries and cut the PA trout stocking by 25% and then see how much more the license sales will drop. When is enough enough? The fish commission is just about as bad as our game commission. GREEDY! Keep these hatcheries open and stock more and bigger fish. Maybe license sales would spark a little then".

Fishing license sales in Pa were up 22% last year, and in 2009 were at I believe a 5 year high. You are entitled to your opinion but please get your facts right before posting. Also I fish and guide over 200 days a year so any this will effect me a lot more then most. I am sorry you have bad feeling against fish and game in Pa. I personal know many of them and they all seem to have our interest in mind when making decisions. I would rater see cuts then to go in the red as is going on with other areas of government.

The eagles will nest at Benner Springs Hatchery in 2015??? I doubt it. The mountain lions will eat them by then.

I hope the eagles got that notice. Is the PFBC guilty of poisoning them if they release food with consumption advisories attached to it? I wonder if eagles can read. Can anyone identify an eagle post on the petition?
