Dave, you are about the only person on here at least as long as me that has not met any of us and vice versa. You should attend without a doubt. But, if the wife won't let you, she won't let you. There's always next year.

After a lifetime of fishing solo or nearly so, I've made a resolution to fish nicely with others and explore more of Pa's fine fine trout waters. I will be at the Jamboree (good scout word and in no way demeaning) on Saturday through Monday and if you don't make too many quick motions I'll happily do my stalking nearby. Jay, I'm headed north this weekend to open up the cabin, call if you'll be up.

Jay the Tranny went again and I had to put a bullet in its head. Traded the luxury for economy. Not sure about getting into Ingleby or on those back roads around Treaster....but it'll get ya down the paved roads in a hurry. I love my new little rocket. 5 speed, 38 mpg on the highway. I will miss the "sitting under the back deck having a beer in the pouring rain" but sacrifices had to be made. Besides, I heard you have a back deck and ground clearance.....looks like I am riding with you cubby...

Farmer,

You'd be the 2nd FOB to set foot in camp, but the other guy had PA roots as well....

I can certainly understand that theme.

But i can also stay at a nearby relative if need be or even sleep in the car. Wouldn't be the first time.

It's possible I can make it to the hootenanny (jamboree), but it is always one of the busiest times of the year for me. If i do make it, it will probably be a short visit.

C'mon one fire ring is all you need.

Speaking of wives/girlfriends and Jam trouble: the 2003 jam caused me some problems. My daughter graduated from high school the Sat of the Jam, I came up Thurs, Went home Sat afternoon for the graduation, then back to the Jam Sat night. That didn't go over well. My other daughter graduated in 2007...I missed that jam.

On a serious note: I've emailed Jack Steel asking if he is coming to the Jam; he and his sons/neighbor usually stay with me. I've not heard from him. I know he has had problems w/ his email in the past so ???. But he usually has called me well before the Jam date to make arrangements. I'm a bit concerned.

Does anyone have any other contact info for him? I can;t locate his phone number.

John

Not hearing anything from Jack this close to the Jam, I been worried about him as well, Sure hope he's all right!

Ps, If we know where he lived, I can't remember where. We could try to get a phone number!

Paul,
All is well, Jack just emailed me. He and his two sons will be attending the Jam. They will be staying at Jonas's B&B.
