I was out fishing yesterday and caught this beauty just as we were getting ready to leave. He hit a dark caddis. Roughly 20 inches.Resized Image

Thanks nymph. I wish I had more time to fish. We had to go right as they were starting to rise.

Thanks DJ. I'll be around on opening day. I'm just not sure where I want to go just yet.

On one hand it stinks you had to leave when things were getting hot, on the other at least you left on a high note.

I wish I got the whole fish in the photo. This is not only my first big fish of the season, but my biggest trout on the fly. I'm not sure how true this stands, but I heard lifting larger fish out of the water can damage their internal organs. All the same, I'm happy to have caught this beautiful fish. Can't wait to catch her again!
