Only been out twice this year, finally caught one this time! Little back story: First trip to Tea creek this year, big brown kept short striking my wooly bugger, hit it 3 times even! Was surprised it tried even more than once. Gave up after that because I lost sunlight and it lost interest.
Finally made it back to Tea today (after hitting Kish and Honey, a little too high yet for my tastes AND I forgot my split shots, so couldn't keep anything down). First cast, had a nice brookie follow my bugger, was probably around 10", but by the time I saw him, he saw me and it was over. Thought I'd keep trying though, switched from a black and blue to and all black bugger and after about 4 or 5 passes I hooked up with a brown.
Saw some dry activity while on Kish though, I think they may have been BWO, they fit the bill, but I'm horrible with ID's. Was a tiny (maybe size 20 at best) mayfly... whatever it was! Saw these things swimming in the mud too, any idea what they are? I'll add them to the bug thread once they get ID'ed, if they are of importance.
