This, I believe, offers absolute proof of what I’ve always said: Nymphing is a tawdry technique practiced by degenerates, Satanists and PBR drinkers. “How is it proof” you ask?

What a quote!

This is why you high stick. Way to much slack between the indicator and the flies. Especially in what looks to be like faster water. Nice video thanks for sharing.

That's an amazing video.

An argument for using a weighted nymph rather than split shot there.

What I would have felt would have been bump bump bump pause and I would have struck on the pause.

I'd also guess that either the hook wasnt sharp enough or the gape was crowded by the tyer as I would of thought a couple of those fish would have hooked themselves.

Great video, thanks for sharing it !

That was a neat video. Shows how selective they can be.

Or the opposite of selective. There weren't many of those fish that didn't give the fly a chance. Any number of us have hooked bass and less often trout that not only take the fly but try to swallow it if you don't hit them soon enough. They seemed to know very quickly that it was not food. Good stuff.

Isn't that what being selective is all about?

Trout are said to be selective when they will only feed on a single food source and ignore all other available food sources. A classic example would be a fish that will only eat sulphur emergers when sulphurs and green drakes are hatching at the same time.
