I'm really hoping someone I know bags a deer, 'cause I am craving that venison bologna big time!

I saw an article that said hunters in the SE counties will be able to use bait. I believe the amount is limited to not more than 5 gallons (which I assume is a small amount). And bait will still be illegal on public lands. Anyway, I thought that was a good way of limiting nuisance deer in the more populated areas. And a good way of making sure there would be more venison bologna for all!

As a non-hunter, I never knew about this program. But, I read about it this morning. If any of the deer hunters here can bag more than they can consume, they might want to look into this program, which gets venison donated by generous hunters to needy families: http://sharedeer.org/
