There used to be a bar on Rt. 6, West of Wellsboro right on Pine Creek. I think it was called the Twin Pines. Doe anybody remember it and is it still there? They had a old fashioned shuffle board game, Genesee drafts for cheap and all kinds of jar with mystery substances in them. Really great place when the bikers showed up. When they were partying it was body art mandatory and dental work optional and that was the women!!

Yes, I believe it was called Twin Pines. Gas station right beside it with a fone booth that used to get used heavy The first week of buck season. Long before cell fones. The bar sat right at Rt 6 and West Rim Rd, I think? The road that takes you up to Colton Point. That is if we're talk'n bout the same place. Second place I was in a bar room fight. First was the PennWells in Morris. 3rd was the Horse Shoe Bar just to the west of Wellsboro on the north side of 6. Oh, to be 18/19 again.

I go by frequently, the sign says "The Burning Barrel" now. Been in a couple of times, no problems.

That's the place. I made several calls from that phone booth. An uncle of mine had a cabin between Colton Point and Leetonia. I would meet him at at that junction. If I got there early enough I would fish Pine Creek behind the bar. My fishing then was a spinning rod and Mepps spinners. They were still stocking Cedar And Slate runs. This was in the middle 70s.
