Don't know how many of you have seen this, but this absolutely gives me the chills.

JUST A HEADSUP ITS 40 MINUTES LONG.

Before I invest 40 minutes of my day, could you give me an inkling as to what this is about?

Agreed. Give us the short version please.

Agreed. What is the video about?

This info should be in the title, as well as the post.

This video was posted a few months back. It's about 4 guys trip to Patagonia. Good watch if you have 40 minutes but not worth a second time.

Thanks Foxy. But do you know how many Sulpher spinners I can tie in 40 min? Busy, busy busy... !!

40 minutes of someone's fishing trip.

Think they'll digitize the slides from that time they mom and dad took the campervan to the Grand Canyon in '78?!

I'm holding out for that.

The hell with tie'n flies.... Watch the vid.... Wow! Big time wow! Amazing footage of an amazing trip.

Here's the 5 1/2 minute version ... fishing the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia.

Looks insane

That was a great video. I'd love to know what that kind of a trip cost, with the chopper and all. There had to have been a TON of research that went into it.

This video is sponsored by the Patagonia Corporation, however the video is shot in another continent. Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia to be exact.

I've been working on getting Glock to sponser my video about fishing Allentown's park system, but so far they've deemed it too risky.

There ya go.

about $8k for a week and about $12k for 2 weeks. Researched it, and WILL do it sometime in the next 10 years.

There's a few ways to do the Kamchatka trip now. One place has a river that they built permanent camps on every couple miles. They fly you into the top spot, you float/fish to the next cabin, stay the night, then repeat the whole way down the river. When I do this, I'm having FishIdiot tie me a few dozen mouse flies.

p.s. be prepared to have the video in the OP be pulled off of youtube. The guy who posted it doesn't have the rights to do so.

I have the full length dvd and it's worth it to watch at some point.

would rather go here..http://flyfishinglabrador.com/page/packages

I couldn't watch the whole thing so maybe what I did see was not a fair sample, but there sure seemed to be a lot of sitting around talking about how awesome-epic-(insert favoritie cliche) the experience was vs. showing the grandeur of the place. Pretty good for a home movie, but usually to enjoy a home movie I need to know the people involved.

Gfen, do you run into problems fishing Allentown park systems?

Labrador is on my list too. But, over Kamchatka?

Me, personally? I'd send myself straight to the emergency room and demand to see a neurologist if I found myself picking labrador over Kamchatka.

Agreed - I can all but drive to Labrador and then fly the last hop in. Having to be transported in either a tank or MI-58 beats that hands down, as does the possibility of fishing a virgin river. Can't beat either location for fishing with mice, though..

Certain places are delightfully urban, featuring nearby murder scenes and the occasional homeless bathing in the stream.
