I hear you rooster. I was "half" kidding. You did the smart thing not pushing it. Guys like that are used to getting over on a lesser advisary, especially since he had back up. It's true though, if they go unchecked they will keep doing what they do. They are the exception rather than the rule, thank God!

Count me in. I think you probably saw the extent of my fuse the last couple months when Nate came walking back to the truck with trees in his hand that he had carried back from the project side.

I've had a few bad experiences. One notable one is I was at Benner and rigging up right by the wire cable hole, obviously going to fish, and three guys wade through the riffles and splash all around to get downstream. They didn't catch any fish, but I just moved up a bit and caught one. So no big deal.

The first time I was fly fishing, I was at Spruce and a guy stopped me and asked how I was doing. I explained I didn't really know what I was doing. He gave me a buttload of caddis and sent me on my way. He was driving a Youth Fly Fishing Team truck.
Another time, two gentlemen walked crazy slow downstream past/behind me as to not disturb my fishing. It wasn't necessary, but greatly appreciated.

I could go on and on about how so many people have given me advice/been nice to me. Allen from SCO let me borrow a reel because mine broke and couldn't run home before the sulfur spinnerfall. +100000 on that one.

I really appreciate when people are genuinely nice to me, and I like to "pass it along" whenever I can.

it's interesting that a post/story about good behavior among anglers turned into a "if that guy if did that to me, i'd......." discussion on the board.
Just something to think about.

As goch said, pass it along whenever you can and lead by example

You're exactly right. I apologize for my part in that.

There are multitudes hitting the best spots leaving a trail that would seem ruined, but there are a rare few that don't complain that quietly pick up fish behind them.

I am not one of them but they make me smile when I see it.
