Well was fishing the Little Lehigh today. Spent the afternoon focusing on the wooden bridge and the first section below it called Hares Ear Run. Saw a small hatch that everything keyed in on right at the bridge for 30 minutes or so and then it stopped. Saw rises happening in the Hares Ear well shifted my efforts to there. As soon as I got situated the hatch stop. So switched to old faithful a tandem of a size 16 pheasant tail with a size 20 zebra midge. First fish was 14 15 inches and had a set of shoulders but got him to hand in short order. Was a beautiful rainbow trout. Figured there would be more there in the fast water. Cast again my indicator disappears. Not subsurface where you can still see it, I mean disappears. So set the hook since hook sets are free. Well that was all it took to set this fish off. Before I knew it this fish was down to the next set of small falls. Here I am with a 6'6" 3wt with no drag. Thinking crap he gets over the falls he is gone with my flies since I'm using 6x. Somehow muscle it back to the top of the run and try to net it, he sees the net gone again. We danced this dance for 20 minutes before I just blindly lunged with the net landing on my knees but netting him. Sit there for a minute before actually looking at it and just catching my breath. Bring it to shore and look at it. Tip of the snout sticking out of net on top end, body resting in the bottom of the net curved back up on bottom with full fork of the tail out of the net. First thought no way this is 20/20 material here. Measure it 20 and a half inches. All the joggers probably thought I was crazy jumping around in my waders. Compose myself to help the fish recover in the water before letting it go. Just wish I had my camera on me at the time. I'm sure it had to be a stocked rainbow though.

Not sure I get the 20/20 reference...is it a 20incher on a #20 fly?
