I also attended my first jam last year, and brought a buddy who doesn't even post here.
We both really enjoyed meeting the persons behind the "handles", and had a nice time - except for the lousy weather.
By the way, if I remember correctly, I think it rained the whole week before the jam, and the whole week after - when I was on vacation.
Now, I'm not superstitious, but I'm wondering if there might really be a jinx in play here

Rain gear...when I first started learning last year, a guide friend back home told me that the only correct rain gear was beer.

Wonder if it's true?

Pretty much, but I like to wear a wading jacket while I'm drinking it too.

I probably be heading up on Wed, so if anyone comes early I'll be there, look me up, my camper site is D12. Sure hope my wife and Son don't have to come up and get me this year and I can enjoy the Jam. It doesn't look like my Buddy Merle will be coming this year because of health reason, will miss him as I do Pad, I won't miss their snoring, but now I'll at least have Maurice, he also does a good job at that snoring.

I put together a page of information and additional details for the Jamboree. Looking forward to meeting some new faces and seeing some old familiar ones as well:
