This mayfly was photographed on Penns Creek on May 21. Body length was about 17-22mm.

Pictured Female subimago

Tails: 3
Fore wings: molted/spotted coloring
Hind wing: obvious
Body length: 17-22mm
Hind wing costal bump: present
Flat head: yes or no
Time of day: evening
Date: May 18 - 26
Body Color: Dark Green, bottom light green

Nymph is a burrowing type.

Locations found: Penns Creek, Yellow Creek (Bedford County)

dames rocket may be correct for the flower, but I believe he was asking about the mayfly. I'm gonna say green drake.

Dave,

Quick question: On the body color, could you add a top and bottom? I know it is not the easiest to get but I think my flies should match the bottom more so than the top.

That's correct, always take a look at the bottom of a fly to tie the correct imitation.

Personally, I've experienced em on Penns, BFC, Pine, Kettle, First Fork, Allegheny River (in Potter County), and a bunch of smaller streams I'm not willing to mention. :)
