Happened in the evenings over memorial day with the bigger brighter sulphurs on the Lack. What is this? About a size 18 maybe smaller.

I call it small yellow mayfly. ;-)

I've heard that those flies are very common on the Delaware River.

they are more common than most think, a lot of fly fishermen mistake them for a sulphur..they are in the delaware for sure..

Thank You Sandy.

I knew you would probably know. I guess what I call it isnt far from the common name. ;-) I was sure it wasn't the sulphur that hatch about 30 mins before dark into the evening. This little guy came out in decent numbers on the Lackawanna about 2 hours before sunset. I dont know if it dwindled when the sulphurs came out. The fish and I didnt take notice anymore

* The pic is the fly on my eye glasses. There were so many they were hitting me all over my body.
