I went outside earlier today at work and saw a bunch of these bugger fluttering in the parking lot. A co-worker picked up a mating pair...and crushed one...not me!

I am not 100% sure, as I suck at ID'ing pretty much everything except mayflies. But I believe this to be a moth based on the short antennas.

Not to derail the thread..... Has anyone seen caddis this spring that rival the October caddis for size? I had some on my back porch that were pale olive / tan bodied. Freaking huge #10 maybe even a #8. Not sure what they are.

Also, I don't know if it's good flows, improved water quality or just a cyclical burst but my house has been covered in stoneflies over the last week or so. Sulphurs, cahills and iso storms depending on the day. Susky smallmouth on dries !!
