Can little yellow sallies be bright green, almost florescent green? Saw some small stone flies on a stream and that was there color.
 
We always called them "Lime Sallies".

Like H A said tey are lime sallies, and like their cousins they hatch pretty much from mid-May until maybe Sept. 1, albeit sporadically during the day. They will hatch directly from the water as opposed to climbing out on a rock to hatch.
