Looking for a new wading jacket. Got a new one lately? How likes what? Returning a Loop Omni3 that I didn't like, looked good on the screen and text but not in person. Tying not to spend 500.00, there has to be great jacket out there for 250.00! thanks jeff

I got the Simms Bulkley last year for Christmas and love it.

Look for Simms jackets on closeout or holiday specials.

Here's an idea-
Go to a shop and try them on.
If you like one, buy it.
They have the same closeouts as the "no brick and mortar" shops. They just have limited inventory.
If you don't try it on, well then good luck with all of the returns. UPS and FedEx love this strategy.

I agree with going to a shop to try one on. A wading jacket is something I would try on and and then do all kinds casting and other motions.

My Orvis jacket is about 10 yrs old and it's still in great shape. They have one for $159. If I were to buy one today, I would not be sure I would need a medium or a large. Sometimes I wear a sweater under the jacket.

I've also owned a Simms which was also very good.
