line for a switch rod

i have used a switch rod a couple times and currently building one. i am not familiar with lines for them as the ones i have used were borrowed.

i am building a 11ft 7wt switch rod and don't know or understand how skagit/switch lines work. Is there any resources that you know about to help me understand how they work and help me to decide what kind of line to get?

I saw that rio sells a switch line and might just go with that for now. but if i can get a better understanding on heads, grains, and running lines then i might go that way.

Check rio's website you can get info on a line by how you are fishing or search actual rods and a recommendation for your specific rod.
