Glad Grandpa had the Barbie Rod and not his Granddaughter. She might have ended up fish bait. That is something that Granddad and Granddaughter will share for a lifetime. I have a picture of my son with a Mickey Mouse rod.

I read a review on the Barbie fishing rod a few years back, and it out-performed some of the more expensive Shakaspheares and Shimano's. Though they were recalled late last year for lead issues, but have since been back on the market.
