How would one know what line to match with a switch rod? Can you just up a wf line by 2 weights or do you have to spend the cash on Scandi/Skagit lines with shooting heads, etc? Thanks.
 
Here is a recent thread discussing this. It all depends of how and where you want to fish the rod. For the most part a regular SH line will not work very well for a switch or spey. A 2hander is needs a line 3 or more weights heavier than a SH rod.

The Rio link that jrmyln posted is a great resource. You can also call the rod manufacturer for suggestions.
 
I think your best option would be to register on Spey Pages and post your question there along with your rod model #, the type of flies you want to throw and the type of cast you prefer. Id wager to bet that more than one person on that forum has fished that same rod. Using Airflow, Rio and rod mfgs. can get you in the ballpark. From there, it's casting ability and personal preference.
