KBOB - I imagine you meant Fly Fishers Paradise, right? That would give me an excuse to head up to Spring. Do the flip up magnifiers come in different powers?

I appreciate all the feedback!

I've used them for years. Well worth the investment.

This says it all. For a while I wore glasses that came with polarized clip-on sunglasses. After losing the clip-ons a couple of times I began buying a separate pair of prescription sunglasses. I have been buying mine at Costco the last couple of times I've purchased new glasses. Costco can produce polarized sunglasses and will mirror the finish too. I don't know if Costco can do bifocal polarized sunglasses. I'm due for a new pair of glasses, I've been thinking about getting a pair of Costa sunglasses. They can be made with prescription lenses, but you have to find a dealer that can make the lenses. The Costa website has a list of opticians that are dealers. I think Costa can be made with a bifocal, not positive though.

The magnifiers come up to +2.5 power but there are two different companies that make them. There are the ones with the plastic clip for the hat visor and then there are Mag Eyes. They are glass and not plastic and have a metal spring clip for the visor I have found lasts longer. They are $25,00ish, about $5.00 more than the plastics. To each his own. I have a couple pair of mag eyes and haven't wore the clip out, although I lost an entire hat with a pair on that ticked me off.

I recently bought the Maui Jim sunglasses I mentioned earlier in this thread with magnifiers built in. The are the bomb and I dont have to keep my sunglasses on a dork strap any longer to use the magnifiers.

Mine actually clip on the glasses frame at the top of the nose. They are different than the visor clip ons. see below
