I didn’t want to hijack the glass rod thread.

Does anybody have reviews or experience with Mountain Brook bamboo rods?

His prices are actually in the neighborhood of what I can realistically afford. And I like the fact that he is a “local” PA fellow.

Mountain Brook flyrods

Thanks

For your troubles; hopefully some viewing pleasure on what I have in mind for a bamboo rod and to help get you thru till warmer days.

I'm not convinced that his blanks are made in the USA. Less then $500 for hand planed finished cane rod seems quite low in price.
Maybe I'm wrong but I loved to know where the blanks come from.

Thats what Im skeptical of. If they are from the eastern continent say they are from the east. I would be sad to hear its marketed for usa if its not. Im sure people would still buy them anyhow

Jack Mickivitz sells bamboo rods and is one of the best. He learned from the masters back in the day.. A lot of his tapers are used by others. I have his list here for rods.
