Looking to upgrade my gear.....

I am a novice but am looking to get a new setup. I have a White River setup now(Bass Pro) and am looking to get a TFO setup. Looking at an 8wt Pro series or BVK.

Anyone have either and have advice?

I have a 6wt also, but am looking for something I can use in saltwater also.

go with a 9 wt. for salt, then you can go for musky and pike too.

Be careful with a bvk in an 8 wt. They are insanely light which is nice, but because of this they seem to be very brittle. I see more bvk rods than any other rod get broken and brought into work. Plus i have broken 3 myself in the last year. They are always between the stripping guide and the next one foreward.

the TiCr X would be a much better rod.
