I have messed up a few wader knees and hurt my knees by kneeling on rocks when I'm fishing small streams. I have been looking for good knee guards for quite some time. I finally found a great pair and they cover the shin too. They are made by Rothco and sold through Blue Quill for $35. I wore them this past weekend on a small brookie stream. Had to hike down a fairly substanial snowy revene and I did not even know I had them on until a knelt on rocks without feeling anything. They have 4 velcro straps and held very nicely. If you are looking for a set, I highly recommend this set.

Glad to see you finally got a set.

$35 is cheap insurance to protect an expensive pair of waders.

Hey don't forget aqua-seal is expensive too! Thanks for putting up the link, we both know my limitations with technology!

The Parrot video explains that he uses paintball knee and shin guards.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if they make women's sizes? :) :)

Nice! LOL

I've a well padded butt, so I usually sit rather then kneel, but I could see hockey shin guards as a solution.
