Glass?

I have been looking for a small rod to take with me to kayak. While I have yet to fly fish in a kayak (only out 2 times) I was wondering thoughts on a 7 or 8 wt glass rod for the Swatara?

I use a Cabela's CGR 7/8 wt on the Susky and it works pretty well. I took it out yesterday morning with a kayak and was able to swing some flies even in the wind. Granted, it would have been a lot easier with a stiffer rod. It's an absolute blast landing smallies with a glass rod. I got it for like $51 when they were having a sale, which happens fairly often.

Cabelas has 20% off all their house brand stuff. I just bit the bullet and ordered a 7'6 glass rod. I was looking to take a rod oit in my kayak, but did not want to stress about losing it. $55 with tax and free shipping... Worth a shot

Took my new Cabells glass rod out... Love it. Casts like a dream.
