I have one desk in my work area that has to be shared between my job and my hobbies. I have been thinking for years about expanding my desk space to allow enough space for all of it. Jury is still out on that. But, as an alternative or interim solution, I've been looking at some items that might be called Fly Tying Desktop Organizers such as the following one.

This would allow me to keep all my tools and the materials that I am currently working with, all laid out and ready to go the next time I want to spend some time at the vice. When I am done for the day, I can put the whole thing out of the way so I can use the desk for my other work.
Anyone have any experience with this type of equipment? Pros and cons? Local manufacturers? Do it yourself plans?
