Are these flies supposed to be fished as dries? Do you add floatant to the fly or just to the tippet?

Klinkhammers were designed to imitate emerging mayflies. The design of the fly and hook cause the wing to float on top and the butt to hang below the surface. Try applying a small amount of floatant on the wing and hackle. A klinkhammer is a great to use as an indicator fly by tying a dropper on the bend of the hook.
