Dear Board,
I'm looking for a pair of felt soled bootfoot hip boots. I'd like to find a pair of the Hodgman Wadewell tan colored 3 ply canvas and rubber boots but I went to 4 or 5 places here in Harrisburg and nobody has any and most don't stock them. I can order a pair over the internet but I'd really like to try a pair on first and I'll pay more money for them if I can buy them locally after trying them on. Do any of you folks in Central PA know of a local store that stocks them? I don't care if it's a shoe store or a hardware store, I just want to make sure I get a pair that fits. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Regards, Tim Murphy ![]()

Tim,
We buy them from Quiet Times Fly Shop in Quarryville Lancaster Co. , for our Nursery. We keep four sizes on hand for volunteers to use if necessary. We have 12's if you want to try some on. I really like them. They are like wearing bedroom slippers. Or call Quiet Times and see if they stock them. They may order them for us when we get them. Check the Fly Shops page at the bottom for their contact info. Maurice

Dear Bill,
I didn't think about them because I had plans to fish up North yesterday. I'll have to give them a call tomorrow and see if they have any in stock. Thanks for the reminder! Regards, Tim Murphy ![]()

Tim,
Attached is a link to Madison River Fishing - clearance page. No hippers, but great deal on Simms and Patagonia boots (Ranger Keen?). Most are in larger sizes. Also great deals on reels, rods, vests, rod cases, etc. There are 7 pages of clearance items to scroll thru. Hope the info helps Tim, Ranger, and anyone on the board. http://www.mrfc.com/MadisonRiverShopp ... hResult.aspx?CategoryID=4

Tim,
Cabela's has a bunch of hip boots listed (see attached). You may want to call ahead to the Hamburg store to see if they stock your size to save you a trip. Good luck. http://www.cabelas.com/ssubcat-1/cat601937.shtml
