I have recently purchased and Orvis clearwater 7' 4weight which is a med fast action rod. I love it to death, and am now looking for my final small rod to add to my collection. I would like it to be 6' or 6'6" 2-3 weight and be a fast action rod. Is there anything out there that would fit that description?

Btw. I have found one rod that does which is a Thomas and Thomas specialist "the midge" rod and their "limestoner" rod. But there like 4000.00$. I will eventually have one of those in due time, but looking for something under 400.00$

I like slow shorter rods in the 4 or 5 wt for small streams.

I don't understand this post. A fast action, 2 weight, 6' rod doesn't make sense to me.

I was a bit confused too. My first thought was that if you want a short, fast 2 wt, then get a short 3 or 4 wt and put 2 wt line on it!

There is a Sage LL 5'6" 2wt on ebay right now. It's still under 400. It's not the length you are looking for. However I do think this would be an interesting rod. The smallest of all the LL series rods that Sage made.

I'd imagine that it'll crack $400 depending on condition. Those LL's are cool rods.

Gfoledc, thanks for the advice about the TfO, it's right in my price range. As for the 5' 6", I think that sorta falls into Ed Shenk category and is alittle too small, but I'd deff love to try one that small someday.

The Ed Shenk Cricket 5'6" 4wt is a nice short rod don't under estimate it for cast terrestrials.
