Cane Guys

A friend has a 9' boo rod with 2 tips that is marked "Ted Sykes Deluxe Finest Tonkin Cane". No other descriptive info. It was apparantly his Grampa's. It's in medium condition. We found very little on the rod or Ted in either Google or EBay except reference to a Ted Sykes Preferrea rod which I can't locate in the listing. Can anyone help with the usual who, what, where, and value questions? Thanks for the help. PaJ.
P.S. we went to TCO today for an opinion but they're closed on Sun.

That's a new one on me but I'm a puppy at bamboo. You may want to ask the same thing on this board. It's heavy on bamboo rods. Good Luck.
