Hey keith, I just got my boxes yesterday. They are GREAT! The only thing is that they are a bit hard to open (i am sure it will get a little easier) and they were brown not black

Hi Everyone,

I'm putting together a shipment for the outing next weekend. I'd like to hear your feedback on what type of fly tying hooks most of you use in your area. I want to add some of those in the shipment aswell.

Thanks again,

Justin "Allen"

Hello,

Yes, the ones that I sent were Black. They went faster than I expected and the browns were what I had left. No worries. When the black ones are ready again. Just send me a msg and I'll send one out to you.

Cheap ones.

I lament the death of the classic Mustad hook, because I leave too many in trees to care about how fantastic chemical sharpening can better latch into the branches.

Hi Fredrick, Sounds good. I need to check my inventory tonight. I was thinking about sending one for everyone one to take a look at.

I'll second the interest in the chest pack (vest).

Just had a chance to check out the site and the products. (also read the product report by skibo in the gear section). Looks like a great start to a new company. I've been looking to get a nice new dry fly rod in the near future. Nice to see some decently priced hooks too. Some smaller sizes would be nice in the hooks if I were to make 1 recomendation. I fish a lot of 16-22 sz flies. Thanks for the generosity with everyone on the site here and the discounts you're offering. I know that will go a long way. We all appreciate it!

Tracker, I'd like to see your alpha at the jam. I'm thinking of getting the 7/8 for steelhead this fall. I was planning on getting a second spool for my Lamson, but the alpha is cheaper than a Lamson spool and I think the quality of the drag is comparable to a high end reel like a Lamson. I've been using my Allen XL series on my 5 weight and I love it. Its going to be perfect for throwing drakes at the jam.

These reels look unbelievable for the price. Any first hand experiences with the reels?

I need to get some rods to put these reels on! :) Time to have that 3wt built.
