Looks great. Will they have the same price point as the older trout model?

Also, any updates on your rods? I'll be looking for a 3w brookie buster soon...

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to post a 3D design of my new Trout Series reel that will be ready soon. I'm trying to get my reels to have there own identity from my other series. Its only going to be in the 5/7 wt for right now. The forum pricing is available on my new design aswell.

Orvis already has a reel that looks just like that

There are minor differences... and major differences in the price.

My understanding is he was not trying to differentiate between all reel suppliers rather his own models

I got my Alpha today. It looks good. Switching retrieval was easy (the standard "flip the bearing" deal). I'll be looking to try it soon.

It certainly looks pretty.

You need to offer 'em in funny colours, I'm a sucker for that sort of thing.

Justin,

Any chance you have the sink tip lines yet? Noticed on your website they're "comming soon". I need one by next Thursday...

Thanks

Just got the Trout 5/7 from Allen in the door the other day. Haven't fished it yet, but the craftsmanship of the reel seems excellent. Nice smooth drag. Can't wait to get it out there. It does seem huge compared to my Ross Rhythm.

I also have an Alpha reel on the way. Eager to get that in the door as well.

I'm a left hand retrieve, so this this is setup fine for me, but I haven't noticed a way to switch it to a right hand retrieve. Was thinking about ordering one for a friend that needs a reel. I suppose I should check w/ Justin on the switch.

Anyone else ordered the new Trout reel from Allen and fished it yet?

Sorry. Just ordered one from Cabelas. It was a clear 12 ft intermediate tip with a green floating line. If the line doesn't perform well, it'll go back and I'll pick up one from you.

Thanks.

Just thought I'd see how the lines are working out for everyone. I have more in stock. Also, added Saltwater lines and Bonefish lines. I'll be posting those soon.

Thanks everyone,
